Some Things Should Never Change.
Your grandparents told stories of going to the woods with their parents on a cold December day to cut the family Christmas tree, the excitement of looking for just the perfect tree and finally bringing it home to decorate that evening by the warmth of an open fire.
Unfortunately, with more of us living in urban areas, this centuries-old Christmas tradition almost died out, just one more price we paid for our modern life style.
But, today, with the proliferation of "choose and cut" Christmas tree farms, families all across the country are rediscovering the family tradition of cutting their own tree. In fact, recent studies show that over 1/3 of the real Christmas trees used in the United States now come from choose and cut farms, and the trend is growing.
Louisiana's Christmas Forest has the largest selection of beautiful trees from which to choose of any farm in the South. At the start of each selling season, we have between 10,000 and 12,000 trees priced for sale -- we normally sell over 7,000, all choose and cut. So if you come to Louisiana's Christmas Forest, you'll have a hard time not finding a tree to take home! And we have a fine selection of "big trees" with heights 12' and up.

But it's not just the fun of cutting your own Christmas tree. Most choose and cut farms offer other fun things for the family to see and do. At Louisiana's Christmas Forest, free hayrides around the farm are our most popular activity.
Refreshments are always available and hamburgers, hot dogs and Louisiana jambalaya are cooked fresh on site each Saturday and Sunday. Free hot chocolate and coffee on a cold winter's day are really welcome; and while the children visit our "pet" 2400-lb. Clydesdale, Prince (who gives kisses when he's in the mood) or enjoy a picnic lunch, moms can spend as much time as they wish browsing through our unique Gift Shop.

We supply everything you need, from the saw to the tie down string. We have people to assist you in cutting if need be, and we'll tie your tree down before you leave.
In today's fast-paced world, isn't it nice to find something the whole family can still enjoy together. Visit Louisiana's Christmas Forest and take home a Christmas tradition!
